What is FORMA?
FORMA is a training intitute for adult education and learning, with the goal of offering adults the opportunity for education, training, and/or schooling, so that they can take a full and valuable place in the labor market.
The Mission:
“To offer adults and young adults, and thereby also the future generation, the opportunity to develop themselves so that they can function optimally in the labor market and in society, always taking into account and anticipating the demands that society places. In addition, to inform and advise organizations, institutions, and governments about the situation of the target groups.”
Literacy
The Literacy Department is responsible for the prevention and reduction of illiteracy and low literacy on Bonaire and provides information and advice to companies and organizations regarding communication with illiterate and low-literate individuals.
SKJ
In accordance with the law, FORMA offers young people aged 18 to 24 the opportunity to participate in training, education, and education programs (maximum 24 months). The language of instruction in FORMA is Papiamentu.
MBO
Following the introduction of the “Focus on Craftsmanship” program by the Minister of Education, Culture and Science, we offer training courses within Forma Entree. These are for participants without a previous education diploma.
Cursussen
The Courses department within FORMA offers adults and young adults the opportunity for retraining and further education. The target groups are diverse, with the largest being working adults.
JICN
FORMA offers various programs at the Caribbean Netherlands Correctional Institution. These include: Education at MBO Levels 1 & 2, Short Courses, Literacy, and Adapted programs in the youth department.
