The JICN, located on Bonaire, serves as both a house of detention and a prison for Bonaire, St. Eustatius, and Saba. It has a capacity of about 100 detainees (men, women, youths, and refugees). One of the ways to prevent recidivism and offer detainees new perspectives is through education.
