Following the introduction of Focus op Vakmanschap translated Focus on Craftsmanship by the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science, Forma offers Entree programs. These are intended for participants without a prior education diploma. The aim of these programs is to prepare participants for the labor market or for progression to an MBO level 2 program. In addition, these programs provide better labor market prospects for participants following a BBL program.
Assistant Services (BOL/BBL)
For students who want to develop in the care and welfare sector, at sports clubs, or in recreational areas. They learn to interact with clients, use social tools, and also receive training in nutrition and hygiene.
Assistant Sales/Retail (BOL/BBL)
Students learn skills needed to perform tasks in this field. They are taught sales and marketeing techniques, how to maintain the workplace and shop, and how to deal with clients and colleagues. They also acquire essential warehouse skills.
Assistant Hospitality, Food, and Food Industry (BOL/BBL)
In this course, the focus is on working with bread and pastries in a hotel or on processing food products. They also learn cooking, cutting techniques, product preparation, and service. The students also learn how to handle kitchen equipment properly and to follow the mandatory HACCP regulations.
Assistant Construction, Living, and Maintenance (BBL)
Working in construction, infrastructure, furniture making, carpentry, and painting. During the program, students learn about safety, sawing, drilling, drawing, and recognizing and using tools. These are all part of the training.
Assistant Plant, Animal, or Green Environment (BBL)
In this sector, students work with plants and garden maintenance. Topics include plants, transportation, and knowledge of suitable tools. The students also lear on how to fertilize the soil and harvesting techniques.
BOL means beroepsopleidende leerweg (vocational training pathway). The participant spends most of the training at school.
BBL means beroepsbegeleidende leerweg (vocational learning pathway). A combination of working and learning.
